California - Family Trip

If you haven't been to California, you're totally missing out! A "bred & buttered" Californian (now resident Virginian), it was so nice to be back where everything's familiar and the air is crisp and fresh! "Fresh?" you say... Oh, yes! Go visit and take a whiff. Well, except the parts where the entire sidewalk is made up of grates with which ungodly smells come from beneath!

This trip was quickly planned and, sad to report, quickly executed. Just take it from me, California is not a one week experience. My Virginian Hubby - who could not join us on this excursion - has all the opportunity to show our boys everything he's ever known. Now, it was my chance to show them where I was from! I didn't get the chance to do a lot of traveling as a kid, so it's important to me to give my kids this opportunity to see other places and discover things that are new and unfamiliar to them.

Day One - El Cerrito & Point Richmond

My little shadow! He thinks it's funny to chase me
whenever I run ahead to get a group shot...

My cousin's funny door posters.

Day Two - Pier 39 & Golden Gate Park

Can you tell I like shoes?

Sand in the eyes!

Day Three - Exploritorium

 Karl the Fog

Day Four - Santa Cruz

So, my next post is going to be all my street photography which was most of Day Four. I got a little lazy, so too bad, no Day Five-Seven.
