Daddy and Daughter

I'm approaching my fourth week of portrait photography class, and I waited until the last minute to get my assignment done. Paul - my hubs -  was kind enough to help recruit a new subject to help branch out of my little circle of people I know. Trust me, I need the branching out...

New subject: Erik and his adorable daughter, Zoe.

Paul and Erik grew up together in the same neighborhood for over a decade. All I know is that they have a lot of stories that they reflect on whenever they get together. They're pretty funny, but that's not what this post is about!

At first, my approach to this shoot was going to be a dude and his guitar, but then Erik didn't bring his guitar. Oh well, but he did bring something better. He brought Zoe!

Now Zoe...Well, she is something else! She's hilarious, sweet, tough, girly and just plain cute! Having two boys and hoping future Knight #3 will be a girl, I was immediately drawn to her. Her golden curls, bright blue eyes, and bold personality would stop anyone. I can honestly say, I have never met anyone like her. She's truly a gem.
