This weekend I had so much fun baking with my college girlfriends. We made an ENTIRE day of it! And if you know me, you know I absolutely love to bake. I don't eat a whole lot of it, but there is something about baking that makes me feel so much better after it all. What can make baking even better? Baking with great company!
I find it very pleasing knowing that as SAHMs we each have something that we're working on. Obviously, I love photography. Elisebet, who is now my sister-in-law, and I met when we were young freshman. Well, we're still young, but we were much younger then. She's into the diaper cloth and all natural stuff, which I applaud her for. (E, don't judge me for ending my sentence with a preposition.) I'm one of those who looks and thinks about trying all that out, but then makes excuses to not. See her blog, My Life a Work in Progress. FYI - She does giveaways! Nicole and I met when we I was a Sophomore and she was a Freshman. She is a gourmet cook. I don't really know how she does it! She has two kids... I have two kids... I guess I can cook okay, but to me it's a lot of work. You're probably thinking, "I thought she just said she loves to bake." Well, darling reader... whoever you may be, baking is not to be compared to cooking. They're totally different. Ask Rachael Ray. Anyway, Nicole also has a blog, which is called The Fresh Kitchen. You will find that she has a ton of great recipes, offers in-home cooking classes and makes baked goods (the latter two for a price). Of course, when I look at her recipes and drool over my keyboard from looking at her pictures, I tell myself I can totally do that! When I actually execute one of her recipes, I'm very pleased with the results, but I still don't like to cook.
So, look below. It's some of our scrumptious cookies that we made this weekend. I "lourve" cookies. But you can eat them for me. Well, I'll take one or two, but you can have the rest.
